YSU Receives $220K State Grant for Parking Upgrades
Youngstown State University has received $220,000 from the State Controlling Board for the acquisition of two parcels near the campus, aimed at expanding parking facilities. The approved purchase of 337 and 359 Arlington St., including two boarding houses, will provide 170 additional parking spaces on the west end of the campus. This move is crucial to replace parking spaces lost after the demolition of a parking deck on Fifth Avenue. Notably, YSU is not contributing any funds towards this property acquisition.
